This round dining table made from a solid oak tree slice is one of my most elaborate pieces. The tabletop was cut from a single tree trunk – the annual rings tell the story of the tree.
Handmade Inlays
A natural crack in the tree slice was not hidden but filled with handmade geometric inlays made from different types of wood. Each small piece was fitted individually – a traditional craft that hardly anyone masters today.
Surface & Sealing
The surface was oiled with Rubio Monocoat in a warm natural tone and then protected with N3 Nano Ceramic Sealing. Matte, velvety surface – water and dirt repellent, without a plastic sheen.
