Lightness as a design principle. The ALU LINE POPLAR.OPEN is our bar stool series with an open backrest made of solid poplar – organically curved, open in form, and consciously reduced in expression.
The open backrest fundamentally changes the impression of a bar stool. Where CLOSED creates security and fullness, OPEN brings air, transparency, and visual lightness into the room. The curved elements of the backrest frame the back without enclosing it – a balance of support and openness that shows its strength particularly in smaller rooms, light-filled kitchens, or lively gastronomic areas.
The frame made of powder-coated aluminum seamlessly fits into this philosophy: present where necessary, restrained where possible. The poplar, with its light, fine-pored surface, brings precisely the natural tranquility that an open construction needs – refined with Rubio Monocoat in natural tones or individual color creations that emphasize the character of each piece.
